Wednesday Prayer and Devotion

Psalm 116

Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death.

I love the LORD, because He hears
         My voice and my supplications.
    Because He has inclined His ear to me,
         Therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live.
    The cords of death encompassed me
         And the terrors of Sheol came upon me;
         I found distress and sorrow.
    Then I called upon the name of the LORD:
         "O LORD, I beseech You, save my life!"
    Gracious is the LORD, and righteous;
         Yes, our God is compassionate.
    The LORD preserves the simple;
         I was brought low, and He saved me.
    Return to your rest, O my soul,
         For the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
    For You have rescued my soul from death,
         My eyes from tears,
         My feet from stumbling.
    I shall walk before the LORD
         In the land of the living.
    I believed when I said,
         "I am greatly afflicted."
    I said in my alarm,
         "All men are liars."
    What shall I render to the LORD
         For all His benefits toward me?
    I shall lift up the cup of salvation
         And call upon the name of the LORD.
    I shall pay my vows to the LORD,
         Oh may it be in the presence of all His people.
   Precious in the sight of the LORD
         Is the death of His godly ones.
    O LORD, surely I am Your servant,
         I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid,
         You have loosed my bonds.
    To You I shall offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving,
         And call upon the name of the LORD.
    I shall pay my vows to the LORD,
         Oh may it be in the presence of all His people,
    In the courts of the LORD'S house,
         In the midst of you, O Jerusalem.
         Praise the LORD!

Father, we come before you this day called Wednesday with Thanksgiving. Father, on this day we ask for joy and peace. Father, we pray for wisdom in everything we do and in everything we say in Jesus name. Father, let us not lean on our own understanding, but be ready to hear what the Spirit has to say to The Church.

Father, we pray for our Pastors and Spiritual Leaders today. We pray that they lead by example. Father, we pray for their weakness, shortcomings, fears, and worries. Father, we pray for The Church ( The Body of Christ). We pray that you bring us to a place of Spiritual Maturity in Christ Jesus.

Father, teach us how to totally rely on the Holy Spirit within us. Teach us how to worship you in Spirit and Truth. Father, we pray that the spirit of Idolatry be removed out of the churches today! We pray that the spirit of manipulation and bondage be removed out of the churches today! We pray that the spirit of fear and pride be removed out of the churches today!

Father, teach us how to love in unity and truth. Father, prepare Your Bride to meet the Bridegroom. Father, I pray for revival inside the churches on this day! Father, work a work in our lives like never before.

Father, we pray for a change in our country, cities, and towns. We pray for a change in our neighborhoods, churches, and schools. We pray for a change in our communities and in our homes. Father, we welcome change.

Father, we seek, knock, and ask that doors will open like never before. Father, touch our hearts today so that we can receive all that you have in stored for us on this day!

Father, renew our minds and give us the Christ mind. Help us to be mindful of each other’s cares, worries, and concerns. Help us to learn how to love, respect, and forgive with the right heart and the right spirit. Help us to live peaceful and productive lives among each other.

Father, we thank you so much for Salvation. Father, we thank you for your Son Jesus, who died for our sins and we thank you for the Holy Spirit that abides in our souls! We thank you, Father, for  Redemption in Jesus name. Amen! Amen!
