Tuesday Devotion and Prayer

 Tuesday Devotion

Psalm 118

                                             Praise to God for His Everlasting

                                 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
                                            For His mercy endures forever.

Let Israel now say,
   “His mercy endures forever.”
        Let the house of Aaron now say,
        “His mercy endures forever.”
         Let those who fear the LORD now say,
      “His mercy endures forever.”

  I called on the LORD in distress;
         The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place.
 The LORD is on my side;
         I will not fear.
         What can man do to me?
 The LORD is for me among those who help me;
         Therefore I shall see my desire on those who hate me.
 It is better to trust in the LORD
         Than to put confidence in man.
 It is better to trust in the LORD
         Than to put confidence in princes.

  All nations surrounded me,
         But in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
 They surrounded me,
         Yes, they surrounded me;
         But in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
 They surrounded me like bees;
         They were quenched like a fire of thorns;
         For in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
  You pushed me violently, that I might fall,
         But the LORD helped me.
 The LORD is my strength and song,
         And He has become my salvation.

 The voice of rejoicing and salvation
         Is in the tents of the righteous;
         The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
  The right hand of the LORD is exalted;
         The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
 17 I shall not die, but live,
         And declare the works of the LORD.
 The LORD has chastened me severely,
         But He has not given me over to death.

  Open to me the gates of righteousness;
         I will go through them,
         And I will praise the LORD.
 This is the gate of the LORD,
         Through which the righteous shall enter.

  I will praise You,
         For You have answered me,
         And have become my salvation.

 The stone which the builders rejected
         Has become the chief cornerstone.
 This was the LORD’s doing;
         It is marvelous in our eyes.
  This is the day the LORD has made;
         We will rejoice and be glad in it.

 Save now, I pray, O LORD;
         O LORD, I pray, send now prosperity.
  Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD!
         We have blessed you from the house of the LORD.
  God is the LORD,
         And He has given us light;
         Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar.
 You are my God, and I will praise You;
         You are my God, I will exalt You.

 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
         For His mercy endures forever.

A prayer by Prophetess Roberts

Father, we thank you for this day called Tuesday. We will rejoice in this day and be glad in it. Salvation came though your Son Jesus. When we were sinners, Christ, died for us. When Christ came He brought healing and grace. Through His strips we are healed.

Father, on this day we ask for complete healing and deliverance over every form of disease, illnesses and sicknesses. Today we cry out against pain that penetrates our bodies and causes discomfort. Father, we cry out today for our children. Father, we cry out for children born with the HIV virus. We cry out for our children born with drug and alcohol addictions.

Father, today we cry out for those children who are being abused today. We cry out for those children who are being molested and neglected today.  We cry out today for those children who cannot cry out for themselves.

We pray for the children who are suffering with cancer, diabetes, and sickle cell.  Father, we  cry out for those children in foster care. We pray that they be placed in healthy environments with people who will love and care for them.  We pray for those children who are waiting to be adopted. We pray that they will find safe and exceptional homes.

We pray for our Elderly today. Father, watch over  our Elderly today and keep them safe.  We  pray that they be treated with respect and with compassion. We pray that they receive the proper care they need to live peaceful and pain free lives in their old age. Father, give them security and stability in their place of residence. Father, cover them with your love and mercy all the days of their lives.

Father, today we pray for the drug addicts, prostitutes, and alcoholics today.  We pray that they be set free and delivered in Jesus name. We pray that they come to themselves and welcome salvation. We pray for those in recovery today. Father, set them free.  Father, some are not in their right minds at this time. Father, make rational decisions for them. Father, keep them safe until they come to themselves.

Father, we pray for those in troubled marriages today. Father, we ask that you come into these homes and bring peace, love, and unity. Father, we pray for the children in these broken homes. We pray that they find comfort and peace knowing that they are loved and wanted.

Father, today we pray for single Mothers. We pray that they receive the support they need to care for their children's needs. Father, we pray for men who have children. We pray that they become men of honor and integrity.

Father, provide these men with the necessities that are needed for them to be good providers. Father, today we cry out to you for better jobs for these men! We cry out for better living conditions and better pay on their jobs. We pray for affordable homes for these men and their families!
