I was asked a question, “Prophetess Roberts should women be allowed Preach inside a church assembly?” I found this question to be just as ludicrous as the other questions like should women pray with their heads covered? Should women wear pants? When you look around, you will see that the majority of women in Ministry could care less what people think or believe. Women are going about their Father's business. They like me don’t have time for foolishness. There are more women Preachers and Leaders today than ever before in history. There are women today who are Leading Countries and running for President. And we are just getting started!
We serve an Omnipresent God! We serve an all powerful God! We serve a merciful God! We serve the Almighty God! The Everlasting God! We serve the God who created the heavens and earth! The King of King and Lords of Lords! We server the God who gives life and takes it away. We serve The God who created man and beast and, to think that someone so Great as God can be touchy about what people wear? How they pray? Which gender preaches the gospel which is the good news of Christ? God is not moody! Neither is He sensitive nor cantankerous! God is not caught up in men’s mess called religion…….Period! Should Women Preach? My answer is not only should a woman be able to preach inside a church assembly. But at home, on her job, in the market place and every where she goes. Not only with her mouth. But how she dresses and conducts herself in public places. How she treats and cares for her children and husband at home. The Word of God says, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!" If you have breath you are suppose to praise the Lord. Not by being unseemly nor by being annoying. But with good works. A humble spirit and a willingness to serve others. In like manner also, that woman adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety, not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly, array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. 1Timothy (2:9) The aged women likewise, that they may be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, TEACHERS of good things. That they may TEACH the young women to be sober, to love their husband, to love their children. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus (2:3-5) I will answer this question according to my understanding and wisdom through the revelation of the Holy Spirit that Christ revealed to me concerning Women Preachers. I was reared in a church where women were limited in their Ministries. For 36 years I was held back from becoming all I could be in the Lord. We did not operate in our spiritual gifts neither were we encourage to use them. I had no idea who I was in Christ until I started visiting other churches. Then I saw how God was using other women in their Ministries. It was then that I realized that I had spiritual gifts as well. And I had a calling on my life to Preach, Teach and bring forth the Word of God. Unfortunately my church home for 36 years since birth. Was one of these churches who separated themselves because they felt they were the only church right? I had no idea what went on in other churches because I never visited any. Had I not search for the truth, got into the word and, prayed for wisdom and understanding of the truth. My gifts would have laid dormant and unused. I would still be in bondage and this website would not exist today, if I would have listened to man’s wisdom and not the wisdom of Christ. After searching the scriptures for myself, praying and seeking the face of God. This is my answer. Never-the-less, I pray that you would pray and seek God for yourselves. And let what I am saying be confirmation of what the Holy Spirit has already revealed to you through your own research and study. Look around you and you will see that there are three times as many faithful women in the Body of Christ than men that are ready, willing and able to do the works of God. My question is why hinder them?
When the Apostle John told Jesus about those who were casting out devils in His name, and they were not a part of their circle. What was Jesus response? Jesus told them to leave them alone. If they are not against us they are for us. In other words why hinder them? Women teaching and preaching inside a church assembly is a man’s issue not Christ’s issue. It’s a personal vendetta against women....period! And has absolutely nothing what so ever to do with Christ Jesus our Savior. Christ was not intimidated by others using His name for a good work. Christ said, forbid them not! In other words don’t stop them. Christ goes on to say they will not lose their reward. And anyone who tries to stop them, it would be better for him that he was dead. It’s in the Word! And John answered him, saying, master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followed not us: and we forbad him, because he followed not us. But Jesus said, Forbid not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part. For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea. Mark (9: 38-42)
Why hinder the Women of God from doing good works for the Kingdom of God? If they are not against Christ then they are for Him. No one is mad but the devil! What Jesus said stands, what man thinks is irrelevant. Christ said leave them alone! In other words mind your own business. These men were using the right name. What other name were they suppose to use if not the name of Christ? Christ gave believers the authority to use His name for good works. Whether we be male or female, bound or free. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark (16:17-18) If you are a believer in Christ Jesus signs should follow you. This means that you should be actively involved in ministry doing the works that Christ did and greater works. Now After this the Lord chose and appointed seventy others and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to come (visit). And He said to them, the harvest indeed is abundant [there is much ripe grain], but the farmhands are few, Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. Luke (10:1-2) Amplified Bible Christ said, the Harvest is plentiful and the grain is ripe. Jesus told us to pray to the Lord of the Harvest that He would send out laborers into His Harvest. Jesus never said pray to the Lord that He would send only men to laborer in His harvest. Jesus said pray to God that He would send laborers, anyone who is willing and ready to get the job done. My question is where are the men? If there were enough laborers, Jesus would not have told us to pray for more. My question again is where are the men? The women in the churches outweigh the men by dozens today. Then they have the audacity to tell us not to Teach, Preach and bring forth the Word of God? Should God’s work go undone because of men’s unfaithfulness and lack of concern? God forbids! The show must go on!
Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the family of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tizah. And they stood before, Moses and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, our father died in the wilderness. He was not among those who assembled together against the Lord in the company of Korah, but died fro his sin [as did all those who rebelled at Kadesh], and he had no sons. Why should the name of our father be removed from his family because he had no son? Give unto us there for a possession among the brethren of our father. And Moses brought their case before the Lord. And the Lord spoke unto Moses saying the daughters of Zeophehad speak right thou shalt surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them. And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, if a man die, and have no son, then ye shall case his inheritance to pass unto his daughter. Numbers (27:1-8) You see these women were not going to allow some tradition or manmade law cause them to miss out on their inheritance. These women came together as one and confronted their leaders. What they were saying was, "Look here, just because we are not men, doesn’t mean we should not inherit what is rightfully ours." These sisters were not going to be discriminated against just because they were women. They insisted on being treated fairly and they took it to a higher level. They took their case to Moses, the Priest, and the Princes and to the Congregation. They were not intimidated by titles they knew who they were and they knew who their father was. The daughters of Zeoplehad made a difference, they changed the order of things in that camp by speaking up and out. There are times when a woman has to do what a woman has to do. They knew they had rights and they wanted what was due to them. Moses was a good Pastor, he did not tell the daughters of Zeophehad to sit down and be quite. Moses was not intimidated, nervous or scared, thinking that these women were trying to move ahead of him or take over his leadership. Moses didn’t have a issue with women neither did he suffer with low self-esteem. He heard what they were saying and he took their case to the Lord in prayer. The reason why Moses took the matter to the Lord in prayer was because, the law was manmade and anything man made could be changed. Moses wanted to do right by these women. Moses knew their father (Zelophehad) was a good man of God and he knew these women could be right. Moses took the matter to the Lord in prayer and the Lord gave him clarity and understanding concerning this matter. God told Moses the daughters of Zeophehad were right and they did have a right to an in heritage like the men. God did not show favoritism between the two sexes neither did He discriminate against the women in the camp. When the Lord called Moses to set the children of Israel free, He didn’t only called Moses and Aaron. If you search the scriptures you will see that God also called their sister Miriam to help them. All three of them were called into leadership. The Bible doesn’t talk much about Miriam’s part as a leader but she had authority in the camp. For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of sevants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. Micah (6:4) And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. Exodus (15:20-21) The bible doesn’t talk much about Miriam’s role in the congregation but she had authority inside the camp. God didn’t show favoritism between the sexes then and He doesn’t show favoritism now. We (women) have an inheritance among those who are sanctified. The promise is unto us, our children and whomever our Lord God shall call. Women if you do not make a stand for what is rightfully yours, your fearfulness could hinder the next generation of women from inheriting their birthright to the promises of God. God did not only call the men into ministry but the women as well. The spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God; And if Children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Romans (8:16-17) When God made male and female in His own image, God never gave man more intelligence than He gave to woman. If He did Adam would have thought twice before he took the fruit from his wife’s hand and ate it. Why didn’t he question her judgment? There is no difference between male and female but our sexuality. We were both created equally in the image of God. God does not discriminate against His children. Whatever gifts He gives to the men in the Body of Christ, He also gives these same gifts to women within The Body of Christ which is His CHURCH. If He gave men the abilities to preach and teach. He gives these same abilities to the women as well. When God told Eve that her husband would rule over her, He was speaking about marriage. It is called order because God made man first then He made woman. This has nothing what so ever to do with women preaching inside a building with a name on it. Neither did God give Adam the authority to be the head over all women. only his wife. Once we put on Christ, God doesn’t see genders. Every believer was given gifts by God to use inside the churches. For the perfecting of the saints for the ministry, for the edification of the body of Christ till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measures of the stature of the fullness of Christ. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. Galatians (3:27-29) Once a person has repented for their sins and has accepted Christ as the Son of God according to the words of God, no one should be treated as the baser source inside the churches but as equals. For there is neither Jew nor Greek, nor bond nor free, nor female or male in the sight of God. God sees us as equals inside the Churches. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God; I will pour out of Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Acts (2:17-18) When individuals prophesy what they are doing is uttering spiritual messages from God. Their message is coming directly from the Holy Spirit Himself. When individuals are relaying messages from God inside The Church, is this not a form of proclaiming? In other words a form of preaching? Did the bible not say, God was going to pour out His Spirit and your Sons and Daughters will prophesy, in other words deliver spiritual messages inside The Church. A person who delivers a message is known to be a messenger. A person who delivers messages from God is a spiritual messenger. A spiritual messenger who delivers messages from God inside The Church is known as a Preacher. According to the word of God, God was going to pour out His Spirit on all flesh and your Sons and Daughters will be spiritual messengers inside The House of God. In other words your Sons and Daughters will be Preachers bringing forth the Words from God. Amen. The Apostle Peter stood up in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost alone with the other Apostles and proclaimed and confirmed this prophecy that was spoke by the Prophet Joel. AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS IN THE LAST DAYS, SAITH GOD, I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH: AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM DREAMS: AND ON MY SERVENTS AND ON MY HANDMAINENDS I WILL POUR OUT IN THOSE DAYS OF MY SPIRIT; AND THEY SHALL PROPHESY: JOEL (2:28) The Apostle Paul backed up and confirmed what Peter and the Prophet Joel said: FOR AS MANY OF YOU AS HAVE BEEN BAPTIZED INTO CHRIST HAVE PUT ON CHRIST. THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK, THER IS NEITHER BOND NOR FREE, THERE IS NEITHER MALE NOR FEMALE: FOR YE ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS. AND IF YE BE CHRIST’S THEN ARE YE ABRAHAM’S SEED, AND HEIRS ACCORDIND TO THE PROMISE. Galatians (3:27-28) What these scriptures are saying is, God is not going to show favoritism between the two sexes. God is going to equally pour out His Spirit on both men and women, and each one of them were going to receive the same amount of power to become spiritual messengers, Teachers, and Preachers inside His Church. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witness unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts (1:8) The power Jesus is talking about is the right to become disciples, ministers, ambassadors of Christ, preachers and teacher in the word of God. God gave us the authority to do the works He did but greater works. God did not give us the gift of the Holy Ghost to sit and do nothing. The gift of the Holy Ghost should be like fire shut up in your bones. Ever believer should be operating in his or her spiritual gifts doing some type of work for Christ within the Body of Christ. This goes back to what He said in Luke 10: 1-2 Pray to the Lord of the Harvest that He would send more laborers into His Harvest. This is why He said; “I will pour out by Spirit on all flesh so they can become actively involved in ministry, bringing forth the Word of God, laboring within my Harvest. We all have something to do for Christ, it is up to each individual to find out from God what threir works are. In the church I was reared in, we had a mega church gathering but the Pastor was the only one allowed to teach, preach and bring forth the word of God. Can you imagine the gifts that were unused including mine? It’s a sad situation when individuals allow one man to suppress them, and rob them of their spiritual gifts that God has given to each Christian to edify the church. Most of us have never seen the laying on of hands and healing taking place. We were allowed to speak in tongues but had no one to interpret the tongues. No one prophesied, no miracles were taking place, the word of wisdom and knowledge was unknown among us. Who knew what it meant to discern spirits? Our Pastor was the Pastor, the Apostle, the Teacher, the Prophet and the Evangelist, he was the Five Fold Ministries rolled up in one. In the congregation of many members can you imagine all the Prophets, Evangelist, Teachers, Apostles, Pastors, those with the gifts of healing and miracles that’s being hindered because of one man’s decision to hold on to tradition. All these gifts are supposed to be inside of this church to edify. I often think about those who died in this church, and those who are ill at this time. Many of them through faith could be set free and delivered from their disease and live. All diseases that come upon us are not supposed to take us out. This is why we are supposed to have the gifts of healing and miracles going on inside our churches. During Jesus’ entire ministry He healed. It is also sad how many of us younger people had to leave this church so we could operate in our spiritual gifts fully. I often meet these young people and they are outstanding in their ministries, gifts, and callings. I have met preachers, teachers, prophets, pastors both male and females, those with the gifts of healings, all these young people once belong to this same organization but had to leave to be what God was calling them to be. I have to admit it is a good feeling to be free to be who I am in Christ Jesus and not be hindered or frowned down on because I am a woman who thinks for me. When you allow someone to control your life and take away what is rightfully yours. You are not free, but you are in bondage. There is freedom in Christ Jesus. God has given each one of us gifts so we could do something remarkable for Him. The five daughter of Zelophehad were not going to allow this to happen to them. They spoke up and out and they changed history by doing so (Numbers 36). If you are being restricted from using and operating in your gifts and calling you are in bondage. Thank God for the blood! And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead, which die in the Lord from henceforth: yea, said the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; And their works do follow them. Revelation (14:13) Your works will follow you even to the grave; your works are recorded and placed in the book of life. How can you rest from your labor if you did not do anything? There is coming a day that each believer will stand before God. If the Lord asked you "Why didn’t you use your gifts that I gave you, what will you say? Remember your Pastor will not be standing by your side. You will be standing alone. What will be your answer? "My Pastor would not allow us to use them inside the church?" Who is The Church? where is the Church? The Church is you! This is 2010 there are all types of ways one can be effective in ministry and utilize their spiritual gifts if they chose to. We have many Christians today who come to church and do not practice using their gifts that God has given them to edify the body of Christ. And there are also Christians sadly as it may seem who does not know what their spiritual gifts are. If you do not know please go to my link page and find out. Then you have those who sit and do nothing but criticize those who are moving and flowing in the Holy Ghost. If you chose not to flow in your spiritual gifts and allow man to suppress you and hold you back, keep quite, mind your own business, and do not hinder those of us who are on a Mission for God. In other words get out of our way, step aside, move back and let us pass, we have work to do. It is our responsibility as Christians to help spread the good news, win souls for Christ, uplift those who are cast down, feed the hunger and comfort the widows. We are all laborers together with Him. We all have jobs to do in Christ. Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apolos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: And every man shall received his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building. 1 Corinthians (3:5-9) It is our reasonable service to serve God with our body, gifts and with good works. We are God’s Servants and It’s our duties to help win souls for Christ not just those in the pulpit. How you carry yourself in public places can be a form of preaching. One reason why many Christians cannot bring sinners to Christ is because they themselves have become the sinners. Yes we all have fallen short yet and still there should be a distinguish between the holy and unholy. We ought to be a light for the unsaved not act like the unsaved. Even our bodies are to be offered up to God for service. I Beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans (12:1-2) Many Christians feel they were given the Holy Ghost only to sit on it and do nothing. When someone gives you a gift don’t you use it? The Holy Ghost is a spiritual gift that God gives to both men and women to serve Him in ministry. The word of God says, “Once you received the Holy Ghost you receive POWER (Authority)! Why do you think God gave us this Power (Authority)? What is the point of receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost if you are not going to do anything with it? I remember in the church that I was raised in, how we would get on our knees in front of a chair with newspaper on it and called on the name of Jesus until we were filled with the Holy Ghost. If we did not receive the Holy Ghost in one night, we would keep coming back until we did. Many of us put a lot of effort and work into receiving the Holy Ghost, but once we received the Holy Ghost, we could not do anything with it. There is something wrong with this picture because as soon as those in the upper room received the Holy Ghost they began to witness. The same Authority and Power that was given to the Apostles applies to each one of us today. Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils and to cure diseases. And He sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. Luke (9:1) This power of authority that was given to the twelve Apostles were also given to the seventy that Jesus sent out. After these things the lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Therefore said He unto them, the harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth laborers into his harvest. Luke (10:1-2) God would not send out laborers without Empowering them. Equipping them with the necessities to do His will and be effective in ministry. And the seventy returned again with joy, saying Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning falling from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke (10:18-18) This same Power and authority God gave to the Apostles and these seventy is the same power and authority God gave to each believer once they received the Holy Ghost. This same authority and power applies to women also because the word of God says “Ye shall have power, after that the Holy Ghost comes upon you” God said He was going to pour out His Spirit on all flesh including women. But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man serially as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 1Corinthians (12:11) The word of God says, God distributes these gifts as He sees fit to whom He chooses. Women have not been excluded from receiving the Holy Ghost or Spiritual gifts to edify the Body of Christ. There is only one Holy Ghost therefore there is only one power therefore, the same power and authority He gave to the Apostles and the seventy, He poured out this same power on women to preach and become actively involved in ministry. And it shall come to pass in the last days, God declares, that I will pour out My Spirit Upon all mankind, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels] and your young men shall see visions (divinely granted appearance), And your old men shall dream [divinely suggested] dreams. Yes, and on My menservants also and on My maidservants in those days I will pour out of My Spirit, and they shall prophesy [telling forth the divine counsels and predicting future events pertaining especially to God’s kingdom]. Acts (2:17-18) Amplified bible If you look at this scripture carefully you will see what I see. The Lord said, He was going to pour out His Spirit on HIS menservants and maidservants. A servant is a person who serves, in others words a Laborer. God said, He was going to pour out His Spirit on those who labored for him. And after He pours out His Spirit on them (women and man) God said, they would prophesy. This means they will serve Him in ministry, bringing forth the word of God. There are Christians today who have never seen a person prophesy within an assembly therefore, they are ignorant to how God operates in a person doing this time. When the Holy Spirit moves on an individual to prophesy within the congregation. He never by passes the women and chooses the men only to bring forth a spiritual message to the congregation, it never works like that. One day it could be a male. The next time a female or a child. One day it might be the usher or the secretary in the Church. If the garbage man is there at that time and knows the Lord, the Holy Spirit might cause him to prophesy to bring forth a spiritual message to the congregation. The Holy Spirit never discriminates or shows favoritism inside The Churches, we are all spiritual messengers within The Body of Christ. Let me say this for those of you who never seen a person prophesy. When God moves on an individual to prophesy this does not mean this person is standing up predicting the future. God may give future insights to individuals while they are prophesying sometimes but not all the time. Most times when a person is prophesying they are relaying a message from God, sometimes warnings, convictions or exhortations. Sometime these messages are long like a sermon or sometimes short. Some would say preaching and prophesying are two different things but in reality they are not. The Lord told Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones. It other words preach to the dry bones. After he had preached to the dry bones then he foretold the future by telling what would happen next. The word prophesy has many meanings throughout the bible. Sometimes the word is used to preach and other times the word prophesies may mean to foretell future events. And he said unto me, son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them,O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord unto these bones; behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall know that I am the Lord. So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. Ezekiel (37:3-7) A crucial point I must make is, when God stated that He was going to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters would prophesy, He had to mean preach because not everyone has the gift of prophecy. Everyone cannot see into the future like Prophets. Prophecy is a gift and not everyone has this gift but anyone can preach. Therefore God could not have meant, He was going to pour out His Spirit on all flesh and your sons and daughters were going to see into the future. He had to mean that your sons and daughters would preach bring forth the good news of Christ. When the angel of the Lord gave Apostle John the book to eat, after he ate the book the angel told him to go prophesy, to preach and foretell future events. John did both, he preached and foretold future events. John had the gift of prophecy. And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth Sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. Revelation (10:10-11) On the day of Pentecost when the Holy Ghost sat on each one of them (women included) these women like the men began to speak in other tongues. They were all prophesying in other languages, in other words they were all delivering spiritual messages from God. In other words they were all preaching at the same time in the house of God. And when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all assembled together in one place, When suddenly there came a sound from heaven like the rushing of a violent tempest blast, and it filled the hold house in which they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues resembling fire, which were separated and distributed and which settled on each one of them. And they were all filled (diffused throughout their souls) with the Holy Ghost and began to speak in other (different, foreign) languages (tongues), as the Spirit kept giving them clear and loud expression [in each tongue in appropriate words]. Acts (2:1) Amplified Bible According to the bible there were men from all over the nations who were in Jerusalem at this time who heard those whom the Holy Ghost had sat upon. According to these men, those whom the Holy Ghost sat upon were witnessing, proclaiming, and telling about the mighty works of God. When the Holy Ghost sat upon them He placed ministry inside of them. He gave them power to witness both male and female. A witness is a person who tells what they have seen or heard. Christ told them once the Holy Ghost came upon them they would be witnesses for Him. In other words, He gave then the authority to preach and tell the good news of Christ, and this is what they did once they received the Holy Ghost. And there were dwelling at Jerusalm jews devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and was confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. Act (2:5-11) According to the men who heard them speak, they never said they were standing predicting the future, they said they were talking about Jesus and His mighty works. The bible says that both of them (the women and the men) drew this crowd. After the crowd had gathered, Peter and the other Apostles stood up in the mist of them and began to explained what was happening in the upper room during this time, then they began to speak about Jesus resurrection and His mighty works when He was here on earth. According to the word, there were about three thousand souls added to the church at this time. Just because the women did not stand up with the Apostles as they were preaching, doesn’t mean they did not help draw the crowd. It might not seem like much, but the woman at the well drew the Samarians to Christ when she said “Come see a man that told me everything that I did”. She was a witness of Christ Jesus. This shows how Christ can use anyone in ministry to bring forth His word and to bring unbelievers to Himself. Christians see Preachers as individuals that bring forth the word on Sundays from the pulpit. You do not have to have a fancy title and preach from the pulpit to be a Preacher. Those of you who have been baptized by the Holy Spirit and believe Jesus is the Son of God you are also Preachers and Messengers of the Word of God. I have never met a true Christian that did not preach. Every Christian I know who is filled with the Holy Ghost, love Jesus and is familiar with the Word preaches. Christ is usually the main subject in most Christian’s conversations. How can you say you love Christ and never talk about Him? Preaching doesn’t have to come from the pulpit, neither does preaching have to be loud and unseemly. Preaching can be sweet, calm and gentle. It’s all about getting your point across. I often talk with individuals (women) who don’t believe that God has authorized women to preach inside a church building. I never debate with them but I often hold spiritual conversations about the word. These same women when I talk to them about the word they always, I mean always, have scriptures to back up what they are saying. Most of them know the bible better than their own Pastors. I find this funny because, when they are talking to me and quoting scriptures they do not realizes it, neither are they aware of it, but what they are doing is preaching to me. I find this interesting! You see, when an individual has been baptized with the Holy Ghost God plants His seed inside your spirit. Any conversation about the Word will trigger something inside you, and you will find yourself talking about the Word and what is in the Word, if you know the Word. This is what God said He was going to do, He was going to pour out His Spirit and your sons and daughter would prophesy, in other words be Preachers, Messengers and Ministers in the faith. These women cannot help it. Once the seed had been planted inside their spirit, the Word is like fire shut up in their bones. A homeless person on the street that once knew God, get him talking about God and you will see what I am talking about. Get a junky that once knew God or talk to a prisoner who knew Christ. Bring up the Word to them, and you will see that seed planted inside their spirit reactivating itself. Once a person have been baptized with the Holy Spirit that seed never leaves that individual. We may leave from underneath God’s covering by sinning because the bible says our sins separate us from God. But the seed remains inside us and is easily reactivated by the words of faith. There is a song that says, “We fall down but we get up, a saint is just a sinner who fell down and got up.” Any Christian who was baptized with the Holy Ghost can get back up once they have fallen. The seed is inside you, all it needs is reactivating. How? Through Faith! Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The right words of faith will cause the Holy Ghost to penetrate, to revive itself and start working in a person’s life. It doesn’t matter who brings forth the word to that individual who is down, all that matters is getting a person to hear the Word of God. My point is that we are all Preachers by faith in Christ; some of us preach every day to others in our conversations and is not aware that we are preaching. Just because you are not on the pulpit doesn’t mean you are not qualified to preach the word of God. Once you received the Holy Ghost that makes you qualified. We were not all called to be Instructors or Leaders from the pulpit, but we have all been call to witness, to preach, to minister and to tell the good news of Christ. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witness unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts (1:8) These women who have a problem with women preaching inside a church building feels it is ok for them to preach as long as it is not in a building. This makes no sense to me. My question is does it matter? The same God operating inside that physical building with a name on it, is the same God operating outside that same building with a name on it. There aren’t two Gods operating in the Churches. One for Christians inside a church building and another God for the Christians outside a church building. There is but one God! And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came unto Caes-a-re-a: And we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with them. And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. Acts (21:8-9) Here we have the word prophesy again which means to preach. Phillip’s daughters brought forth spiritual messages inside their church. Jesus promised He would pour out his Spirit and our sons and daughters would prophesy. This prophecy was foretold by the Prophet Joel before Christ was born. Women preaching inside The Churches had already been predestined. The word says, God was going to pour out, dispense, transfer, spill out His Spirit on all flesh, so both men and women would be able to deliverer a word, give a message, prophesy and witness inside the churches. God said, He would POUR out His Spirit on all flesh; this means that He will give many not a few but many the ability to bring fourth the word, both male and female, rich or poor, bound or free. I am sure Philly’s four daughters who prophesied did not sit quietly inside the church. It is impossible, the bible said they did prophesy meaning they brought forth spiritual messages continually. When the Lord moves on a person to prophesy within the congregation, the Holy Spirit is in control of that person’s mind, body, mouth and spirit during this time. He puts His words into your mouth and you have absolutely no control of what you are saying or your actions during this time. But when a person preaches, they can control what they are saying and doing at that time. Whether these four women preached or prophesied inside the church they were not sitting quietly, they were bringing forth spiritual messages from the Lord. Let me make this clear, not everyone who God moves on to Prophesy inside an assembly is a Prophet. Sometimes the Lord might move on a person to prophesy once in their life time, this does not necessarily mean that person has Prophetic gifts like Prophets. When Saul sent his servants to Ramah to capture King David, God caused all those servants whom Saul sent after David to prophesy. God was controlling their minds, mouth and actions during this time. They had absolutely no control over what they were saying or doing. Just because God caused these men to prophesy during this time doesn’t necessary mean they were Prophets like Samuel. Word came to Saul: “David is in Naioth at Ramah”, so he sent men to capture him. But when they saw a group of prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing there as their leader, the Spirit of God came upon Saul’s men and they also prophesied. Saul was told about it, and he sent more men, and they prophesied too. Saul sent men a third time, and they also prophesied. Finally, he himself left for Ramah and went to the great cistern at Secu. And he asked, “Where are Samuel and David?’ Over in Naioth at Ramah,” they said. So Saul went to Naioth at Ramah. But the Spirit of God came even upon him, and he walked along prophesying until he came to Naioth. He stripped off his robes and alsoprophesied in Samuel’s presence. He lay that way all that day and night. This is why people say, “is Saul also among the prophets?” 1 Samuel (20:19-24) Whether God uses a person to prophesy or preach, it is all done under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. Phillip's four daughters brought fourth spiritual messages from God just like their father. They were all Preachers. They all had the Holy Ghost. God may not have used these four women like He used their father but they were all given spiritual messages to covey to the body of Christ. An Evangelist ministry and a Prophet ministry is not the same, but they are both called by God to bring forth, to relay spiritual messages to the church. It doesn’t matter what words you use to teach, preach, proclaim, or prophesy, it all boiled down to the same thing. When I read about the works of Phillip and how bold and outstanding Phillip was in the faith and in his ministry. I cannot help but wonder how outstanding and bold his four daughters must have been also in the faith when it came to the works of the Lord. To show that God doesn’t discriminates in the Churches. While Apostle Paul and the others where abiding with Phillip and his daughters, a Prophet name Agabus prophesied to them. He foretold the future. He told Paul what was going to happen when he went back to Jerusalem. The Prophet Agabus had the gift of Prophecy, he saw into the future, not everyone has this gift. This same prophetic gift of prophecy that Agabus had to predict the future and to deliver a message from God, is the same prophetic gifts that Phillip’s daughters had. They were all Prophets. This only confirms what the bible has said, and that is, that your sons and daughters would prophesy. They would be spiritual messengers. Agabus was the son and Phillip daughters are the daughters. The bible said, your sons and daughters would prophesy. Out of all the gifts inside the body of Christ the Apostle Paul told us to seek to prophesy, in other words seek to bring forth spiritual messages to the church. For those Pastors who are keeping your women in bondage, you are also hindering the Holy Spirit from doing a great work inside your assembly. For those men who are hindering and keeping the women of God in bondage you are a Pharaoh, and I am a Moses. And I am telling you that God said, set His women free! Set them free so they can serve Him in ministry. God says, He has work for them to do! When Ann the Prophetess saw Jesus her Savior, she could not keep quite inside the Temple. She preached redemption to everyone who would listen to her. Yes! she preached inside the church because that is what Prophetess do! We PREACH! We deliver spiritual messages from God. Anna was considered a Prophet because her gifts made room for her. And there was also a Prophetess name Ann the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old, having lived with her husband seven years from her maidenhood, And as a widow even for eighty-four years. She did not go out from the temple enclosure, but was worshiping night and day with fasting and prayer. And she too came up at that same hour, and she returned thanks to God and talked of [Jesus] to all who were looking for the redemption (deliverance) of Jerusalem. Luke (2:36-38) Amplified bible The bible said, she proclaimed Jesus to every man and woman who was looking for redemption. Can you imagine all the souls who had hope and were enlightened by this bold and outspoken woman of God. Anna did not need a pulpit to preach redemption all she need was a word from God. I am sure there were men inside the temple at this time who could have stopped the Prophetess Anna from preaching redemption inside the temple but the bible never said they did. Why? Because Anna was a Prophetess, she was only confirming what the Prophet Isaiah and the other Prophets had already spoken. It amazes me how God had this female Prophet in the right place at the right time to see baby Jesus, the Savior of the world, the Messiah, that Holy One, that Holy Redeemer. My God! My God! Who could have stopped her? Her message was the good news. How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “your God reigns. Isaiah (52:7) Not only this, after seeing the baby Jesus, Prophetess Anna was the first Preacher to preach redemption to the people. The bible never said Simon preached redemption. He prophesied to the parents of Jesus. Anna on the other hand preached to everyone she saw. I heard some say, Well she did not really preach. First, I would say you were not there. Second, she was the messenger that God had chosen to convey a message to everyone who came looking for redemption (forgiveness for their sins) at that time. Something tells me if Prophetess Anna was outspoken on the subject redemption inside the temple, she also spoke on other subjects inside the temple. I would ask this question, have you ever met a real Prophet or Prophetess that was called by God to be a Prophet, that was not bold and outspoken inside the house of God? I have not, neither have I met a Prophet of the Lord that doesn’t preach or proclaim the word of God. The word says, we are given these gifts to edify the Body of Christ. And this is what Anna did, she edified the Body of Christ with her Gift of prophecy by prophesying. Something also tells me if this female Prophet has been in the House of God for years and she never leaves the temple but continues in prayer and fasting daily, something tells me that Prophetess Anna had won the respect of those in leadership and played a very important role inside the temple. I am quite sure Apostle Paul did not send Deaconess Phoebe from Cenchrea; her home church to sit quietly in the church at Rome. Phoebe was on a mission, she was on the move, she had worked to do. She was actively involved in ministry. She did not have time to be entertained with foolishness by those who had lack of understanding when it came to female ministries. Paul called Phoebe a Servant of the church which is at Cenchrea. She was an authoritative figure at her church home. Those who were called Servants of the Lord taught, they were teachers and ministers of the faith. And the Lord’s servants must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to TEACH, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to acknowledge of truth. 2 Timothy (2:24-25) Paul had already cleared the way for Deaconess Phoebe’s arrival. He specifically told the church in Rome to assist her in whatever matters she needed assistance in. Now, you had other women in the church at Rome that were active like Tryphena, Tryphosa and Pesis these women whom Paul sent greetings to in the church at Rome. Can you picture all these active women working faithfully in ministry? These women may not have preached on the pulpit but they were not sitting stagnate and quite in the churches. These women were actively involved in the ministry. Paul had nothing but good things to say about these women of God who worked faithful inside the churches. We women who have been called by God have been called to do a great work, it is like fire shut up in our bones. Now I introduce and commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deaconess of the church at Cenchreae, that you may receive her in the lord [with a Christian welcome], as saints (God’s people) ought to receive one another, and help her in whatever matter she may require assistance from you, for she has been a helper of many including myself [shielding us from suffering]. Romans (16:1-2) Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, which laboured much in the Lord. Romans (16:12) You had the evangelist/ teacher Priscilla and her husband Aquila who worked faithfully together in ministry. When you read about this husband and wife team you will always find them working together as an equal. I never read where Aquila told his wife to sit down and be quite. Aquila saw his wife as an equal partner in ministry. This married couple worked side by side faithfully risking their lives for their belief in Christ Jesus. Priscilla must have been just as knowledgeable in the word of God like her husband because the bible says, she and her husband explained the word more accurately to Apolos. If they taught and explained the word to Apolos something tells me they also taught the church that was in their home. Does it matter who teaches the word of God or where it is being taught as long as it is being taught? Meanwhile, there was a Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, who came to Ephesus. He was a cultured and eloquent man, well versed and mighty in the Scriptures. He had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and burning with spiritual zeal, he spoke and taught diligently and accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he was acquainted only with the baptism of John. He began to speak freely (fearlessly and boldly) in the synagogue; but when Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him with them and expounded to him the way of God more definitely and accurately. Acts (18:24:26) When God gave gifts to men in the Body of Christ do you really think God over looked the women in His church? Do you really believe women are supposed to be stagnated with limited work to do for God? It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors, and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be build up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians (4:11-3) Apostles can be women, Prophets can be women, Evangelists can be women, Pastors can be women, and Teachers can be women within the Body of Christ. When God gave gifts to men He did not discriminate against the women, it is scripture. If men can have these gifts and preach inside church assemblies so can we. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God, which worketh all in all. But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Corinthians (12:4-13) For those of you who have a problem in this area take it up with that person who gives out gifts. Men do not give these gifts, God does. Who has the authority and power to say what gifts God gives or doesn't give to women inside His Church? What man or woman is sitting next to God when He gives out these gifts? Who directs the Spirit of God? Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being his counselor hath taught him? With whom took him counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment,And taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? Isaiah (40:13) We women are on a mission from God and we cannot and will not be stopped! If God is for us and He is, it is more than the world against us! Barak didn’t have a problem with a woman preacher/leader as a matter of fact he refused to do what the Lord had told him to do unless this female Prophet went with him. Prophetess Deborah was a warrior, a true woman of God. I understood why God call her to lead His people. If all the men in Israel were cowards like Barak, God had no choice but to call a woman. But thanks be to God for this bold woman of God who did not listen to the men in Israel telling her to sit down and be quite. She did what she had to do to win the war against those who oppress her people. God knew who He needed in Israel at that time He needed a WOMEN. When Prophetess Deborah confronted Barak he did not tell her to sit down and be quiet. He said let’s do this! If you come with me Prophetess then I am ready! After they fought the war and got the victory they had peace for forty years. This victorious female/pastor that God raised up over His flock made a great impact on the lives of God’s people. Not once did her husband tell her to sit down and be quite, neither did the men in Israel at that time tell her sit down and be quite. They needed a warrior to deliver them out of the hands of the Canaanites. The king’s 900 chariots of iron did not impress the Prophetess she knew who she was in the Lord, she knew who had her back. She knew that no weapon formed against her would prosper; she also knew If God was for her it was more than those against her. Prophetess Deborah called herself The Mother of Israel, a mother over a flock of Gods people is known to be a Pastor in this day and time. We need more female Pastors/Mothers in the world today. One thing I can truly say about a woman, you better not mess with her children. Any good mother would risk her life for her children. The Canaanites messed with the wrong woman of God, they suppressed the wrong people. In the days of Shamgar son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the roads were abandoned; travelers took to winding paths. Village life in Israel ceased, ceased until I, Deborah, arose, arose a mother in Israel. Judges (5:6-7) God calls Prophets and Prophetess not man. God gave Deborah her title and gifts not man. No one votes Prophets in or out of office because no man gives us our title. Prophets are called and chosen by God Himself. Then it is confirmed by other Prophets. Prophetess Deborah had many titles and she wore them well. She was a wife, a Pastor, a judge, a leader and a Prophetess/ preacher because Prophets proclaims the word from God. So can women be Pastors? Sure they can! Can women be leaders over God’s flock? Sure they can! Can women proclaim the word of God? Sure they can! Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidth, was leading Israel at this time. She held court under a the palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came to her to have their disputes decided. She sent for barak son of Abinoam from kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, “The Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: ‘Go; take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulum and lead the way to Mount Tabor. I will lure Sisera, the commander of jabin’s army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands. Barak said to her, “if you go with me, I will go; but if you don’t go with me, I won’t go. Judges (4:4-8) We had another brave and fearless woman of God who risk her life for her people. Her name was Queen Esther. Queen Esther was over the Jews in Shannah, not only the Queen over the Jews but the queen over the entire Palace. God placed her in position not man. God also gave her, her title as Queen. God used Esther’s beauty boldness and cleverness to save the Jews from being destroyed. Queen Esther went against the law and the custom of the king’s palace her punishment should have been death. But she took a stand like the daughters of Zelophehad. All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden scepter, that he may live: but I have not been called to come into the king these thirty days. Esther (4:11) But this fearless woman of God was determined to save her people. She said, “ If I die let me die but I will surely see the King!" Queen Esther was in the same situation as Prophetess Deborah. Her people were in trouble and they needed a strong leader someone who was willing to risk their live to help them. God placed Esther in the palace just for this propose to save His people. It was Mordecai who reminded her of this. Then Mor-de-cai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the Kings house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this. Esther (4:13-14) It did not take Esther long to get the point, all it took was a pep-talk from her uncle and some encouraging words to build her faith and confidence in God. It wasn’t long afterwards that Queen Esther told her uncle Mordecai to tell the Jews to pray and fast for her for three days and nights and she likewise would do the same for herself and her hand maidens. Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shu-shan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go into the King, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish. Esther (4:16) Queen Esther knew the God she served was a deliver. If she did not know she would not have ask the Jews to fast and pray for her three days and three nights. She knew by faith that prayer and fasting would change things for her and her people. She was fully aware she served an omnipotent God. She had to have known God because her uncle Mordecai knew God. Was she not raised by her uncle and subjected to him? Mordecai was a strong believer in the Jewish faith and he knew God. How do I know? Because he refused to bow down to another god that was not His God in heaven. And all the king’s servants, that were in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Ha-man: for the king had so commanded concerning him, But Mor-de-cai bowed not, nor did him reverence. Esther (3:2) You see, there are times when a woman has to do what a woman has to do, even if means her life. Queen Esther risk her life for her people. The rules were that women sit down and be quite. Queen Ester said, "Not this time, I got something to do and, it is like fire shut up in my bones. She had to do what she had to do even if it meant her life. We serve an omnipotent, an omnipresent and an omniscient God. God Himself organized the whole thing. God knows the mind of men, He knew Haman had an evil spirit and would try to destroy the Jews. But God had a plan. It was God who harden Queen Vashti’s heart against the king. God needed Esther in the kings Palace, He desired a Jew. God’s ways are not our ways neither are His thoughts our thoughts. God could have placed Mordecai in the King’s palace if He wanted to. God preferred a woman at this time to deliver the Jews. God chose Queen Esther a Jewish woman. God worked it out that Queen Esther would be at the right place at the right time to deliver His people just like He had Prophetess Anna at the right place at the right time to see baby Jesus and preach redemption. God is in control at all times in every situation. God chooses whom ever He feels will get the job done. God knew Queen Esther before she became queen; He knew she was no wimp. He knew she would get the job done and she did just like all the other bold and courageous women He chose throughout the bible. Esther’s bravery not only saved the Jews from being destroyed in Persia but there were many non-Jews who were converted into the Jewish faith because of Queen Esther’s boldness and courage. There is a time for women to sit down and be quite but there is also a time for us to lift up our voice and cry out loud by doing the works of God. We can do all things though Christ that strengthens us!” When Joab and his men pursued Sheba the son of Bichri to Abel of Bethmaachah was. It was a bold woman of God who convinced the people in the city to cut off the head of Sheba so they would have peace and not be destroyed. This bold out spoken woman of God spoke up and confronted the King’s servant Joab. It was her boldness, courage and wisdom that saved this city from being destroyed. Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of she-ba the son of Bich-ri, and cast it out to Jo-ab. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Jo-ab returned to Jerusalem unto the King. 2 Samuel (20:22) Women have always gone beyond the call of duty. Even when Jesus died the women continued to be faithful to Jesus and His ministry. This is why Jesus appeared to them (the women) when He aroused from the dead. They (the women) were still around doing their duties as women and servants. God can use women because we are always around at the right time and the right place. Wasn’t it a woman who first preached redemption after seeing the baby Jesus? Weren’t women at the death and burial of Christ our Savior? And was it not a woman who first witnesses the resurrection of Christ after He risen from the dead? I wander why Jesus did not visit His Apostles first? Makes you guess why the women? Jesus told the women to go tell the men. Where were the men? Where are they now? Why weren’t the men at the Well when the Samarian woman came to draw water? Was this not a hint for women to go tell the good news whether the men were around or not? Jesus did not have to tell the woman at the Well to go witness. Jesus knew all He had to do was meet with her at the Well. This same woman who made poor choices in her life when it came to men cause people in the city to be saved. When the woman went her way and left her pots Jesus did not leave. He knew she was going to go tell the others, this is why He stayed where he was and began teaching about the sowers and the reapers. After receiving the word from Christ she became a sower at this time. She was a spiritual messenger. She planted the seed and Jesus was the reaper. Sometimes all it takes is a word from God, and God would do the rest. For in this the saying holds true: One sows and another reaps. I sent you to reap a crop for which you have not toiled. Other men have labored and you have stepped in to reap the results of their work. Now numerous Samaritans from that town believed in and trusted in Him because of what the woman said when she declared and testified, He told me everything that I ever did. So when the Samaritans arrived, they asked Him to remain with them, and He did stay there two days. Then many more believed in and adhered to and relied on Him because of His personal message [ what He Himself said]. And they told the woman, Now we no longer believe (trust, have faith) just because of what you said; for we have heard Him ourselves [personally], and we know that He truly is the Savior of the world, the Christ. John (4:37-42) Let me say this to all the women of God, God is looking for sowers and it doesn’t take a lot of preaching. It takes wisdom, prayer and guidance of the Holy Ghost. It only took one statement from this woman to bring these people to Christ. And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. The reason why women weren’t as active in the churches back in the day was due to Restrictions, laws and customs, like the law of heritage that the zelophehad’s daughters had to change. The women movement had not taken place during this time. It was God who set the Jews free from bondage. It was also that same God that caused the Civil Right Movement in 1964. It was also this same God in heaven who smiled down on us women in 1846 and caused the women right movement. Women of God we are free! We are free to pursue any dreams we have both spiritually and naturally. It is by choice women are in bondage today it has nothing to do with Christ or the Law of this land. God is calling women to do greater works inside and outside the Church! Women we are not restricted like those back in the day; the sky is the limit! God is calling his daughters to go and speak the word in season and out of season. Because we are free God can use us in greater ways than those women back in those days. Women you can start your own churches/business legally and Pastor them. You can go to seminary schools and theology schools. When you received the Holy Ghost you received a ministry; you have a ministry inside your spirit dying to come out. Women, God wants us actively involved in ministry! I encourage every woman in America to search and develop your gifts that God has already given you and use them for the work of God to serve Him in ministry. I encourage you to do greater works in your churches, in your community, on your jobs, in your homes, on this earth, in your neighborhoods, in you cities and towns. We are not going to always be around therefore let us leave with a BIG BANG! Let us leave our legacy behind. Let those who come after us say they were strong, powerful and bold women of God on this earth who were filled with courage and faith in the Holy Ghost! Pastors who do not believe that God authorizes women to preach or teach inside the house of God are not aware who they are hindering inside their churches by suppressing and holding on to misunderstood dogmas and traditions. Pastors you could be hindering an Evangelist from evangelizing and saving souls for Christ. You could be hindering a Prophet from prophesying and telling future events. You could be hindering an Apostle from setting up more churches. You could be hindering teachers from bring forth the Words of God and building up the body of Christ. You could be hindering good Pastors from protecting, guiding and seeking those who are lost and wounded. The way I see it, If God would use a woman’s body for His purpose why wouldn’t He use her mouth. God supernaturally used Mary’s body to bring fourth His Son Jesus the Christ. He supernaturally opened Hannah’s womb to bring forth the Prophet Samuel. He used Jochebed Moses’ mother to bring forth Moses so He could deliver the Israelites from Bondage. God supernaturally touched Sarah’s body to bring forth Isaac. Manoah’s wife supernaturally brought forth Sampson to slay the Philistines. I will say this again; If God would use a woman’s body why wouldn’t He use her mouth? When God used Mary’s body to bring forth His son Jesus this same God used Mary’s mouth to cause the baby to leap in her cousin’s Elisabeth womb and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came toPass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; And Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: Luke (1:39-41) God knew once the angel Gabriel visited Mary, Mary would visit Elisabeth and Elisabeth would receive the Holy Ghost once she heard greetings coming from the woman of God’s mouth. Once the Lord used Mary’s mouth to cause the baby to leap inside Elisabeth’s womb and be filled with the Holy Ghost, God then used Elisabeth’s mouth to bring forth a spiritual message. And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ear, the babe leaped for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. Luke (1:42-45) The Prophet Joel prophesied that God was going to pour out His Spirit on all flesh and our sons and daughters would prophesy. Elisabeth Prophesied once she was filled with the Holy Ghost. Mary prophesied and Zacharias prophesied once the Holy Ghost came upon him. They all prophesied, they all had a word from God. They all delivered a spiritual message once they received the Holy Ghost just like those in the upper room once the Holy Ghost fell upon them. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name. And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree. He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away. He halth holpen his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. Luke (1:46-55) .And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people. Luke (1:67-68) This story in itself proves that God does not discriminate against male or females when it comes to the mighty works of God. Not only did God choose to use these women’s bodies for his own purpose and glory He also chose to use their mouth to prophesy to deliver a spiritual message. Mary called herself a servant of the Lord. Ministry had already taken place in Mary’s life before Jesus was born. Women prophesying and ministering was already predestine before Christ. And Mary said, behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed. And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judea; And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth. And it came to pass, that when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost; Luke (1:38-41) I do not understand why some believers are having a problem in this area when it comes to women preaching inside a church building? If God loosed the tongue of a donkey to deliver a message to her master Balaam, why wouldn’t this same God loose the tongue of a woman to preach? I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things then these, because I am going to the father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John (14:12-14) New International Bible Jesus The Christ said in JOHN 14:12-1 4, if ANYONE including women. If we (women) believe in HIM (Jesus Christ) we can do the works that HE did and greater works than He did when He was here with us. He goes on to say, whatsoever YOU (women included) ask in my name I will do it! Does this sound like a God who discriminates against women within the Body of Christ? Absolutely not! And greater works we shall do inside or outside a building with a name on it. What types of works did He do? He preached the gospel, He raised the dead, He feed the hungry, He healed the sick, He opened the eyes of the blind, He forgave sin, and cast out devils. So, can women also do these same things that Jesus did if we have faith? SURE WE CAN! We can do all things through Christ who strengthen us! We are Jesus disciples, we are His off springs. We have our Father’s DNA inside of us. How dare anyone tell us to sit down and be quite! You are messing with the wrong women of God. We women are more outgoing, more outspoken, more ambitious, and more business oriented than most men are today. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see this. I do not understand why some Pastors are having a problem in this area anyone can see how times has changed and are changing. How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? For the Lord hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man. Jeremiah (31:22) And those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable. 1 Corinthians 12:23 You can turn these scripture around and look over them but the fact remain that women today are more outgoing, ambitious, educated and wiser than ever before in history. We have women controlling countries and nations. We now have women running for President of the United states of America. God uses who is ready and willing to get the job done. Jesus said, according to my bible the first shall be last and the last shall be first. The parable of the workers in the vineyard: When those hired about the eleven-hour came, each one received a denarius. When those hired first came of them also received a denarius. When they received it, they grumbled at the landowner, saying, These last men have worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the scorcing heat of the day.’ “But he answered and said to one of them, ‘Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius? Take what is yours and go, but I wish to give to this last man the same as to you. Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’ so they last shall be first and the first shall be last. Matthew (20:9-16) Women have been put down for too long. God has given us hope in the Holy Ghost. God has the first and last say so in all matters. Is God unrighteous because He is generous with His gifts? Men have put us last for centuries but not anymore; God is doing a new thing on this earth! The women are no longer last but equal to the men. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. The only place a woman cannot rule, that is her home if she is married. The man is the head of his house hold. I do not care what authoritative position a woman holds outside her home. When she comes home and she has a husband she has to step down and let her husband be the head of the house. But outside the house the sky is the limit! When a person says that God says, that a female cannot hold a certain position inside His Church. What that person is really saying is that God is prejudice, and that He discriminates against the female gender. I have not read anywhere in the bible where God shows these types of characteristics or traits. As a matter of fact God says those who do this are sinners. So is God a sinner? But if you show servile regard (prejudice, favoritism) for people, you commit SIN and are rebuked and convicted by the Law as violators and offenders. James (2:9) Amplified Bible. The last I read in MY BIBLE, My God has no respect of persons. God doesn’t but MEN does. For GOD shows NO PARTIALITY [undue favor or unfairness; with Him one man is not different from another]. Romans (2:11) Amplified Bible. Now let me repeat myself again through (The Bible) The Word of God. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Let me say this again, women are equals in the House of God and should be treated as such. And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threading them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him. Ephesians (6:9) My God doesn’t have certain gifts for the women in the churches and certain gifts in the church for men. This is called discrimination. As we just read in the (Bible) God does not operate in these types of spirits. The same prophetic gifts that God gave to the Prophet Isaiah, Jeremiah and Habakkuk are the same prophetic gifts He gave to Prophetess Anna, Prophetess Deborah and to the Prophetess Huldah. Their ministry may have been different but they had the same gifts. They were all Prophets called to be Prophets by the same God. When King Josiah needed a word from God concerning the book of the Law that he found. He sent his servants to require of the Lord concerning this matter. His servants did not seek out the Prophets Jeremiah or Zephaniah who were around at this time because they were men. King Josiah needed an answer from God and it did not matter what gender the prophet was at that time. The King was troubled and he needed answers. The King’s servants consulted with the Prophetess Huldah. They knew about her and knew where to find her. Prophetess Huldah was a Prophet of the Lord who shared the same gifts as the male Prophets in that day. Prophetess Huldah told King Josiah’s servants “Thus saith the Lord, she told them what God had planned for their future because of their sins. They did not have a bright future according to Huldah prophecy. But luckily for the King Josiah because of his tender heart, God would not let him live to see the doom that would later befall his people. Everything the Prophetess Huldah prophesied eventually come to pass. So Hil-ki-ah the priest, and A-hi-kam, and Ach-obor, and Shaphan, and As-aa-hiah, went unto Hul-dah the Prophetess, the wife of Sha-lum the son of Tik-vah, the son of Har-has, keeper of the wardrobe; (now she dwelt in Jerusalem in the college;) and they communted with her. 2 King (22-14) I do not feel inferior to the Prophets Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel or the Prophet Elisha or the Prophet Elijah who was caught up in heaven on a charioted of fire. Big deal, this does not impress me. If I am living when the Son of God comes back for His church, I will be caught up in the rapture. I am a Prophet of God who has the same gifts not only do I have the same gifts but I have a double portion of their gifts. I can do greater works and better works because I have something that they did not have. I have the Holy Ghost! I live in the Holy Ghost! I talk in the Holy Ghost! I walk in the Holy Ghost! I breathe in the Holy Ghost! I sleep in the Holy Ghost! I keep on my armor at all times. I am not inferior to any man or woman. God gave me my spiritual gifts and no man or woman can take them away! In him I live, move and have my being! I strongly believe how this misunderstanding of women not being productive in the church assemblies started were from men who were lead by the spirits of bios, prejudices and ignorance’s when it comes to the word of God concerning women. When a person is lead by these spirits you see what you want to see. Men who have inferior complexes towards women have found a couple of scriptures in the bible to suppress women and keep them humble and submissive. Many men cannot handle the success of a woman. These same men have a hard time on their jobs with their female co- workers and their female employers and with the females at home. These men could not have a wife that was out going and made more money than they did. They feel more comfortable with a homemaker type of wife. Someone with low self esteem that he can beat on with the word. These men have domineering and controlling spirits. They are not open-minded but closed-minded and is not in tuned with reality. Even if God revealed the truth to them, their ego and pride will not allow them to act on it. They will brush the truth off and hold on to their own ignorance’s. Most times, if you attend a church where Pastors do not allow their women to teach, preach or bring forth the Word of God, you will find that these same Pastors has other restrictions on how they should dress, and so on. It’s a control issue that has nothing to do with Christ. In most cases these Pastors not only control his members’ life inside the church but, outside the church as well. He controls his wife and children at home. Most of them rule with vigor. Most of the Pastors who have a controlling spirit refuse to change because of fear of looking bad. Many of these Pastors are self-righteous and would not except the truth if their lives depended on it. And, if you dig a little deeper you will find these men suffer with low self-esteem and they are jealous of the success of a woman. They need to keep others down so they can feel superior and good about themselves. In reality it has nothing to do with a couple of scriptures they feed on and keep throwing in the women faces to keep them humble and submissive. The thought of women out doing them scares them. Also, the thought of being an equal to a woman make them nervous. It is a personal vendetta they have with women in general. Most times there is something deep inside they do not like about themselves or maybe they had a bad experience with their mother or a female in the past. Therefore, every female has to pay especially those in his church assembly and in his home. In most cases you will not find strong independent and outgoing women like myself in these types of Ministries where men or controlling and dominating. Neither, will you find women like me in relationships where the men are controlling it would never work. Never-the less, many of these Pastors said it was Paul who started this mess about women not preaching inside the church but the devil is a liar. Paul lifted up the women in the churches and he thought highly of Deaconess Phoebe and Evangelist Priscilla who he sent greetings to. Paul sent greetings to many other women inside the churches. Don’t bring Paul in this mess or Jesus. Like I said earlier, it’s a personal issue that some men have with women that have nothing to do with Christ or the church. Most men who join these ministries have the same controlling spirits. Birds of the same feather flock together. It has nothing to do with the word or Christ. Just like Jesus never said, women cannot preach. He never said, a believer had to pay tithes. These are manmade rules; nowhere in the bible will you read where Christ said these things. God said, He would pour out His spirit and women would preach. Paul told the women to desire to prophesy. Man tells them to be quite and not to preach, teach or bring forth the word of God. I realize that many believers prefer to listen to the ignorance’s of man then the wisdom of Christ. Nevertheless, Any person who has learned the word and studied the word constantly knows that these particular scriptures men has used to suppress women for years has nothing what so ever to do with all women at all times. Neither, did the Apostle Paul tell the women in the Corinth church they cannot preach inside the churches. Preaching and speaking in the church are two different things. And, if a woman did preach in the church what does it have to do with having authority over a man? Let us take a look at these scriptures men have used for years to keep women quite and submissive in the churches. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also says the law. And if they learn anything, let them ask their husband at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. What? Came the word of God out from you? Or came it unto you only. 1 Corinthians (14:34-36) First, Paul never said it was a commandment from God that women be silent inside the Church assemblies. He said, it was a commandment of the Law. Second, Paul never said if a woman did speak or preach inside an assembly of believers it would send her to hell. There is a list of things that are listed that would cause one to go to hell preaching isn’t one of them on the list. It was customary for women to be submissive and not out spoken in that day and time, this is why the Apostle Paul mentioned the law when he was speaking. I am still trying to figure out what does these few scriptures has to do with me, my ministry or my work for God? The first thing a person should do when trying to get an accurate understanding of a particular text is pray then ask the Lord for knowledge, wisdom and understanding of the text you need Him to clarify then He will make it clear to you. When you are seeking truth concerning a particular scripture in the bible please do not ask your Pastor, boyfriend, Deacon or anyone else. Get an understanding for yourself through the Holy Spirit that abides in you. But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. 1 John (2:27) God said let Him be true but ever y man a liar. God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that thou mightiest be justified in thy sayings, and mightiest over come when thou art judged. Romans (3:4) You cannot just read a scripture take it and run with it. You have to get a full understanding of what you are reading. You have to first find all the scriptures in the bible that speaks on that particular subject that you are trying to get an understanding of. Then you must understand if the text that you are reading from is from the New Testament or the Old Testament. You should also look for words like Law, Customs and Traditions, then you would have a better understanding if that person who is speaking is talking about things for us today or things of the past.
It will also be a good idea and helpful if you have study books; around like the bible dictionary, the concordance, a comparative study bible or whatever types of learning tools that can help you get a better understanding and enlighten your thinking process. Many Christians have been in bondage for years because no one really sorted or dug for the truth. Jesus tells us to seek and you will find, knock and it will be revealed, ask and you will receive. When I search for truth concerning this matter on women preachers I check the history and back ground of these people in Corinth. I wanted to know what type of people they were. Therefore I place myself in Paul’s shoes. And, then I had a clearer understand of why he said, what he said. to the women in this church at that time. You have to also read the entire letter carefully not just the parts you agree with or like. You have to get an understanding of the whole letter. Now let us look at some facts, First of all, there were many church groups in Corinth. These church groups assembled in individual homes and meeting places. Paul may have started these church groups but, Paul was hardly around to Pastor them himself. Some of the letters Paul had written he wrote while he was in prison. Paul had overseers to oversee these churches but not all of them had the knowledge and understanding of the gospel like Paul did. This is why the Apostle Paul sent Timothy and Titus and others to oversee these more troubled and disturbed church groups like the church in Corinth that Paul had written to. When you read the letter Paul had written to the Corinthians. He wrote to a group of believers in a particular assembly (Church group) that was having problems. The church in Chloe’s house was the ones who told Paul about the confusion the Corinthians were having in their assembly. Let me stop right here! For it has been made clear to me, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions and wragling and faction among you. 1 Corinthians (1:11) For those of you who do not study the word for your selves, I would like to talk to you a little about this statement. Number one, Chloe was a woman who had her own church in her house. The bible says, it was her house not her husband’s house. Chloe was a Christian and she knew Paul and knew how the church should be ran because she ran her own church inside her own house. A woman who is over a church is known to be a Pastor. Apparently, those who were under her care knew those in the other church that Paul sent the Letter to because it was those in Chloe’s house that told on the other Corinthians. These statements say a lot. The letter Paul wrote went to the church that needed discipline at that time. It did not go to the church that was in Chloe’s house because she had her house in order. I believe Chloe’s church was a small church and the church that Paul sent the letter to could be a mega church. The larger the church the more problems the church has. This is why Paul said, when they came together the problems among them got worse. This is also why Paul sent Timothy to this church because this church had lots of issues. In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good. In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it. No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval. 1 Corinthians (11:17-19) The letter Paul had written to this church group in Corinth was addressed to those in leadership concerning things he had heard and questions this particular church group had ask him. The Apostle Paul addressed many issues in this particular letter. One of the issues has to do with the women inside this particular assembly. During this time, the Apostle Paul had taught on freedom in Christ Jesus. Therefore, the women had become a little loose in the churches. This is why the Apostle Paul addresses the issues concerning head coverings. It was once customary for the women in that day to wear veils, by wearing the veils this showed a difference between the women in the church from the prostitutes that hug around the temple. But, once the women in that day found out that they have freedom in Christ Jesus and that their veils was a added work and had nothing whatsoever to do with their salvation. The women started taking those veils off and letting their hair down, just like we did in the church that I can from. When our Bishop told us that cotton stocking had nothing to do with our salvation. Off went those cotton stocking and into the trash they went. When our Pastor started setting us free, confusion in the churches started. We had those that agree with the new changes and, we had those that disagreed with the new changes. You cannot please everyone all of the time. We younger women did not have a problem with the new changes. We could not wait until our Bishop changed the rules from wearing long 8” dress from the floor and from wearing head coverings everywhere we went. This is an example of what was going on in the Corinth Churches during the time Paul wrote to the Corinth Church. Their situation was worse because the Apostle Paul said, when they came together things got worse. The Corinthian were out of control. You can tell by the tune of the letter, the subjects that Paul spoke on, and the length of the letter. There is another point that I must make as I open up these scriptures that man has used to suppress women. Back in the day just like today there were many single family homes where women was the head of their household. Many of these women had no husbands therefore they were the Pastors who taught the word of God to their children or to those who gathered together in their homes. There were many female Pastors/ Prophetesses who had their own church homes. And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the Mother of John, whose sure name was Mark; where many were gathered together praying. Acts (12:12 ) The Apostolic Paul spoke briefly to Timothy about his mother and grandmother who instilled the word of God in him. My point is, there were a lots of women in the churches like there are today. There was absolutely no order in this particular church group. The women were out of control and disobedient probably because they were uses to controlling their own homes, so when they came together with other believers they didn’t know how to be submissive to those in authority. Paul wasn’t picking on the women in this church group; the men were out of place as well. But, like I said earlier men have found a way to use this incident to suppress all women at all times. The Apostle Paul had a right to say what he did to the women at this church at this time if they were causing trouble. The women may have needed time out! There is a way woman should conduct themselves in public places especially inside the house of God. When Queen Esther went against the customs of the palace she did things decently and in order. She never once disrespected the king. Queen Esther was a woman of class and integrity. It wasn’t just her good looks that got her what she wanted. It was her meekness and her character. It was the way she carried herself. She was a virtuous woman. Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husban doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good not evil all the days of her life. (Proverbs 31:10-12) King Ahasuerus knew what he had was good. He knew there was a difference between Queen Vash-ti’s spirit and Queen Esther’s spirit. Queen Esther had it going on, not just in looks but in her personality as well. King Ahauerus was so magnified and pleased with Queen Esther that he offered her half of the kingdom. Queen Vash-ti was recompense and taken down from being queen. Her position was taken and given to another who had the right spirit. I do agree men and women should be chastised when needed and, sat down from performing duties inside the house of God, if the Pastor feels he or she needs to be recompensed. This is why Paul told the women to be quite and if they have questions to ask their husbands at home. He was using disciplinary actions at that moment because of what he had heard concerning these women. Paul telling the women to be quite had everything to do with their behavior at that time, at that moment, in that church. Because, at one time the women in that same church could prophesy (bring forth spiritual messages) as long as they had their head covered. Read the entire letter and you will see what I am talking about. But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven. 1Corinthians (11:5) In the 12 chapter and the 1 verse, Paul says “ Now concerning spirits gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant” This tells me that there were lots of confusion and lack of knowledge when it came to the spiritual gifts. Not just with the women but also with the men in this church. The two main gifts that Paul spoke specifically on were the Tongues and the Prophetic Gifts that were given to the Prophets. If you read this letter carefully you will see that it was not until Paul got on the subject of gifts that he told the women to be silent. Paul was speaking on the prophet gifts at this time. Therefore this tells me that he was speaking to the Prophetess. When the Apostle Paul expounded on these two gifts, first he spoke on the tongues and how they are to be used inside the church. Paul taught on the tongues from the 14th chapter and 1 verse until the 28 verse. He ends the teaching on tongues by saying: “If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 1Corinthains (14:27-28) As you see here, Paul wasn’t only speaking to the women but the men as well. He told both women and men to be quite in the church if they had no one to interpret their tongues. Paul wasn’t only using disciplinary measures with the women but with the men as well. But, like I said earlier men have found a way to suppress women and keep them in bondage inside the Houses of God. In the 14th chapter 29 verses down to the end of the chapter Paul was speaking to the Prophets and those who had prophetic gifts. His whole objective was to teach those who had these prophetic gifts how and when to use them. According to the 33 verse and 14 chapter of 1 Corinthians Paul stated that God is not the author of confusion. Therefore this tells me that there was a lot of confusion going on with the (prophetic gifts) just like there was confusion going on with the tongues. Because, there are male and female persons with prophetic gifts inside the churches, the women at this time with these prophetic gifts must have gotten besides themselves at this time. This is why the Apostle told the women who had these prophetic gifts to be quite and, ask their husbands at home for understanding. Even though Paul was speaking to the entire church assembly he was speaking directly to those women who had prophetic gifts. If you would stay in the text you would see what I am talking about. When Paul spoke on the gifts of tongues he told both men and women to be quite if they did not have an interpreter. But, when it came to the prophetic gifts he was more specific and told the women to be quite. Paul would not have told the women to be quite unless it was for a reason. Paul was addressing an issue that was brought to his attention at that time concerning the women in the church. Paul spoke on many subjects in this letter to the Corinthians. If you notice the only time he told the woman to be quite was when he was teaching on prophetic gifts. One of the reasons why I feel Paul was speaking to those who had prophetic gifts, was because of the statement that he made in the 36 verse and the 14 chapter. What? Came the word of God out from you? Or came it unto you only? If you keep everything in text you will see that Paul was asking a question to those whom he were chastising. (Those with prophetic gifts) The question that Paul was asking the Prophets were “ Are you the only ones that God speak through?" In other words are Prophets the only ones that God chooses to bring forth the word of God? You see, Paul was speaking prophetically here to the Prophets. Prophets are subjected to other Prophets because we share the same insights as other Prophets. Prophets usually knows when another Prophets are not being lead by the Holy Spirit because of our prophetic gifts and insights that God gives to Prophets. After Paul finished questioning those whom he chastise, he goes on to say, keeping in text. If any think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are commandments of the Lord. But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. 1 Corinthians (14:37) Let’s look at this verse from the Amplified Bible. If anyone thinks or claims that he is a prophet [filled with and governed by the Holy Spirit of God and inspired to interpret the divine will and purpose in preaching or teaching] or has any other spiritual endowment, let him understand (recognize and acknowledge) that what I am writing to you is a command of the Lord 1 Corinthians (14:37) Amplified bible The Amplified Bible goes into detail about how the gift of prophecy works. Also, as we continue to stay in text with what Paul is saying to the Prophets, you will also read during the closing statement that Paul allows them to continue to use their prophetic gifts (women also) as long as it is done decently and in order. So [to conclude], My brethren, earnestly desire and set your hearts on prophesying (on being inspired to preach and teach and to interpret God’s will and purpose), and do not forbid or hinder speaking in [unknown] tongues. But all things should be done with regard to decency and propriety and in an orderly fashion. 1 Corinthians (14:39 –40) Amplified Bible Paul told the believers when they came to church they should come with a song, a message to teach, a revelation and an interpretation, all these different gifts should be in the churches to edify the Body of Christ. Where are these gifts to be used? INSIDE THE CHURCHES! By whom? Each person, both men and women. What is the outcome then, brethren? When you assemble, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. 1 Corinthians (14:26) Paul said EACH ONE! Women included! Should come to church with some kind of gift to edify the Body of Christ. But, when you come everything should be done decently and in order. You have to read the entire letter. In this same Letter where Paul told the women to be silent in the churches. He also told them to come to church with a psalm, a teaching, a revelation, a tongue and an interpretation. When you are reading you must read with an understanding. The word of God said “ Let everything that has breath praise the Lord”. Paul ends this subject by saying to the church to desire and set your hearts on prophesying (preaching) women included. 1Corinthians (14:39-40) Amplified Bible There was no order in the church at Corinth concerning their gifts. Especially with those women who had prophetic gifts at that time. Never-the-less, the Apostle Paul told us (the church) to desire to have a hunger to prophesy, to preach, teach and bring forth the word of God. Now I wish that you might all speak in (unknown) tongues, but more especially (I want you) to prophesy to be inspired to preach and interpret the divine will and purpose). He who prophesies (who is inspired to preach and teach) is greater (more useful and more important) than he who speaks in (unknown) tongues, unless he should interpret ( what he says), so that the church may be edified and receive good (from it). 1 Corinthians (14:5) Let me make this clear, each Pastor has the authority to lose or bind any rules that he or she chooses inside His or Her own place of worship. Paul binds some of the women from speaking in the Corinth churches but he losses the women in Crete. He told the women in Crete to teach. Do you see my point? Some of the women in Corinth was bind and the women in Crete were lose. Paul was using disciplinary with the women in that church in Corinth when he told them to be silent. The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, TEACHERS of good things. That they may TEACH the young women to be be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children. To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to there own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Titus (2:3-5) I believe the women in the Corinth church was over stepping their boundary by being out spoken and unlearned in their spiritual gifts. There are bossy and sassy women in all congregations and we know who they are in our churches. God chastised the Prophetess Miriam ( Moses Sister) she got beside herself and started running off her mouth to the man of God, her spiritual leader/brother and God took disciplinary measures by turning her leprous and, having her put outside the camp for seven days. And the Lord came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. And he said, hear now my words: If their be a prophet among you, I the lord will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth to, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and similitude of the Lord shall behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? And the Cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. Miriam’s punishment was temporary just like those females at the church in Corinth. And the lord said unto Moses, if her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received again. And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again. Numbers (12:14-15) What puzzles me is that these same churches who do not allow women to preach inside their churches have female choir members. When a female sings scripture messages inside the church she is not quite she is preaching. What is the difference if God gave a woman an inspirational song to sing inside the church and that song touched and ministered to the people of God and, they shouted and praised God. And, I took those same lyrics and preached them to the same people and they also were touched, shouted and praise God. What is the difference? She sang the lyrics and I preached the lyrics. The people were edified by the words that the Holy Spirit had given. We have different gifts but the same Spirit distributes them to whom and how He will.
If women are allowed to sing spiritual songs inside the churches they should also be able to preach spiritual messages inside the churches, there is no difference. The song is scripture and the message preached is scripture. Some women are gifted to write and sing spiritual messages through music. I am gifted to write and preach spiritual messages on paper what is the different?
She sings the messages, I write and preach the messages. Neither one of us is being quite inside the church. God gave her a message to tell through song and praise and, the same Holy Ghost gave me a message to preach another way. A female gospel singer is a preacher just like I am. The only difference is, that she sings her message and I teach my message. There is absolutely no difference. Many of these same churches that would not allow women to preach inside their churches, would invite female gospel singer to come and minister spiritual messages through songs. I do not get it! I just don’t get it! Nevertheless, Let’s look at other scriptures that have kept women in bondage for years. In like manner also, that woman adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobrreity; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly, array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. 1Timothy (2:9-15) We talked about the women in the Corinth churches; now let us look at the letter Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus. Paul wrote this letter to Timothy who he left in charge to help Pastor this particular church. First, we must read the whole letter and get an understanding of what is going on in this church group at this time. Remember this letter is a personal letter to Timothy. Timothy must have written Paul Therefore Paul was responding to the letter that Timothy had written. Once we have an understanding of what is going on in this church at the time the Apostle Paul wrote Timothy then we will have a better understand of why Paul said what he said to the women at this church. It you look closely at this letter you will see Paul used the word (I) he said, "I suffer not a woman to teach" this shows disciplinary actions at that time. He never said, if women teach it would send her to hell. Neither, did he say it was a command from God that woman should not peach. Jesus told women to prophesy which means to bring forth spiritual messages. If it was a commandment from God he would not have told the women in Crete to teach neither would he have told those in Corinth to earnestly seek to prophesy. In the church at Corinth Paul talked about the women head coverings. At the church in Ephesus Paul spoke on the women’s dress code. As I read the entire letter I noticed there were some in the congregation who was teaching other doctrines other then the Apostle doctrine and, there were some asking questions. I noticed how Paul spoke a lot about these false teachers, apparently there were many in this group. As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightiest charge some that they teach no other doctrine, neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith :so do. 1Timothy (1:3-4) If any man teach otherwise, and content not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strife of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmising, perverse disputing of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 1 Timothy (6:3-5) These teachers were causing confusion among the believers. The Apostle Paul said that their doctrine was of the devil. Some of these teachers were teaching that godliness is a means to financial gain. This tells me there were a lot of wealthy people inside this church gathering. It is a possibility that some of these individuals who were teaching such doctrines were women because Paul said; I suffer not a woman to teach. Also some of these women who were teaching could have been the same women that the Apostle Paul chastised about their expensive clothes and elaborate hair styles. In other words they could have been wealthy educate women. The reason why I say this is because many of Paul’s converts where renown women. And some of them believed, and consorted with Paul and Silas; and of the devout Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief women not a few. Acts (17:4 ) Therefore many of them believed; also of honorable women which was Greeks, and men, not a few. ( Acts 17:12 ) Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 1 Timothy (6:17-18) For the love of money is the root of all evils; it is though this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs. 1 Timothy (6:10) Many of Paul’s coverts were women of stature. There could have been some in this church group at this time causing trouble. Some of these women could have been asking questions and, their questions must have stirred up confusion. Because, the Apostle Paul told the women at that time, in that church group to be quite and learn in quietness and full submission. He said what he said for a reason. “A woman must quietly receive instruction with entire submissiveness.” 1 Timothy (2:11) It is quite obvious that many of these women had gotten beside themselves like those women in the Corinth church. In the 5th chapter of Timothy the Apostle Paul talks about the widows going from houses to houses being busybodies and tattlers talking things that they should not be telling. In other words trouble makers. And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. 1 Timothy (5:13) The Apostle Paul said, "He would prefer the younger women marry and have children and learn how to care for their homes." This is why the Apostle Paul mention in the chapter 2 of Timothy the 15 verse that the women would be saved in childbearing. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety. 1 Timothy (2:15) Paul was not talking about all women at all times should be quite inside the churches as I pointed out so many times. Paul told the women in Ephesus to be quite and not to teach because there were some women teaching things that they should not be teaching and asking questions that stirred up trouble. This is why Paul mentions that Eve was the one deceived not Adam. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in transgression. 1 Timothy (2: 13-14) This statement speaks for its self. It is very obvious that some of these women were being deceived in their teachings because as Paul pointed out that Eve was deceived not Adam. This is why Paul told the women at that time that they should learn in silence and not be forward in what they were saying. Paul goes on to say: They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what theyare talking about or what they so confidently affirm. 1 Timothy (1:7) Every church differs; Paul never had to tell the women at the churches in Rome to be quite because the women at Rome were different than those in Ephesus and Corinth. Paul sent special greetings to the women in Rome, he thought highly of them. Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus Romans (16:3) Out of the thirteen letters the Apostle Paul wrote to the churches, it was only twice he used disciplinary measures when it came to the women inside the churches. As a matter of fact, I never read where Jesus ever told women not to preach, teach or be quite. What came from God was that your sons and daughter would prophesy. I’ll say it over and over again, Jesus never told women they should not preach but He gave them authority to preach when he told them to prophesy. There are twenty seven books in the New testament and, I cannot find anywhere were any of the Apostles or Jesus ever told women not to preach, it is not biblical. Neither, did Paul tell the women not to preach but be silence because there was some women misbehaving at that time. These words “ Women cannot preach inside a church assembly" NEVER came from Jesus’ mouth. This misunderstood dogma came from man’s wisdom not God. Let me say this and make myself clear, those Pastors who are keeping God’s people in bondage and keeping them suppressed with misunderstood dogmas. God will either remove you or remove those whom you are suppressing and give them to Pastors who will allow them to grow and develop in their gifts and callings. Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves anymore; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them. Ezekiel ( 34:10) God wants His people free from bondage and nurtured on sound doctrine, not on misunderstood Dogmas that arrived from man’s wisdom. And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Jeremiah (2:15) Like I said before, the Apostle Paul could not be talking about all women at all times because at the church in Crete he tells the older women to teach good things. He gave them permission to teach the younger women at church inside the House of God. You cannot teach and be quite at the same time. He also tells the saints to earnestly seek to prophesy, meaning to be eager to bring forth a word from God. This matter with women keeping quite inside the churches does not apply to all the churches. Neither, does it apply to the women today unless their Pastors has bind them from preaching inside the church for a specific reason or season. I am not talking about those Pastors who are using the word of God to get even with women. Back in the day when Paul told the women at the Corinth church to be quite and ask their husbands at home, the women were unlearned concerning their gifts and other matters. Today women are more educated; we have a better understanding of our gifts. We know where, how and, when to prophesy. Things are done more decently and in order at this time then before. Therefore, what Paul said to the women in the churches at Corinth does not apply to us; Believe it or not more men are coming to us today for answers. The Holy Spirit told me to tell Pastors, who are keeping His daughters in bondage, to set them FREE! God wants His people free! He has work for them to do. Like I said earlier, those Pastors who are keeping God’s people in bondage, God will remove them and replace them with Pastors who will nourish them and allow them to operate in their callings. Women not preaching inside church assemblies is not scripture. It is a misunderstood dogma that has been used for centuries to keep women humble, neither is it sound doctrine. It is a man made doctrine that arrived from man to keep women from doing the works of God. Satan wants to destroy our men in wars, incarceration, drugs, alcohol and with incurable diseases. And, if he could keep the women quite and submissive he know the Word of God would not be spread, but the devil is a liar! The Word of God says: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher. And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring good tidings of good things! Romans (10: 13-15) The Word tells us “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”If women are to be quite and not preach and if men continue to be put away who would be saved? Satan would have gotten the victory. Once the Law of the Beast is enforce, many of our men will be killed and the women who are here at that time had better know the word of God, so they can encourage each other because, bibles will be taken and destroyed. So, it is imperative that you stay in the word and use the word every chance you can in your conversations because like they say, if you do not use it you lose it. If you really sit down and think about it, what harm can a woman do by preaching or teaching the words of God? Who would get mad except the devil! Satan hates our God, there is a constant battle going on between the forces of good and evil at all times. Satan will use all his tricks to stop the word from being taught and spread. Satan is destroying our men and he wants to keep the women suppress with ignorance and fear. But, the devil is a liar! Women of God, God wants us to preach the word and, while we are preaching the word let us pray for our men. Let’s pray for our Fathers, Sons, Nephews, Uncles and Husbands that they will increase not cease. Let us pray for one another in Love and in truth. Amen May the Lord our Father have mercy on the readers of the word that He has given to me to covey to His people through the pen. May those who had no clarity concerning women preachers now have a better understanding. Lord I pray that you will set your people free and that they will do those things that you have called them to do. Lord I ask that you will remove the spirit of fear off the lives of those whom you have called into ministry. That they will not allow any man or woman to come between you and them. Father God give women the tenacity and drive they need to do your will! Amen! |
