Monday Devotion and Prayer

 Monday Devotion

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd;
      I have all that I need.
 He lets me rest in green meadows;
      he leads me beside peaceful streams.
     He renews my strength.
   He guides me along right paths,
      bringing honor to his name.
  Even when I walk
      through the darkest valley,
   I will not be afraid,
      for you are close beside me.
   Your rod and your staff
      protect and comfort me.
  You prepare a feast for me
      in the presence of my enemies.
   You honor me by anointing my head with oil.
      My cup overflows with blessings.
  Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
      all the days of my life,
   and I will live in the house of the Lord
      forever.

                                          A prayer by Prophetess Roberts

Father, we humbly come before the throne of grace on this day called Monday. We thank you for your Love, Patience and Guidance. Father, as you have Patience with us, help us to have Patience with each other. Father, as you Forgive us our Transgressions, help us to Forgive others who have Transgressed against us. Father, as you Love us unconditionally, help us to Love each other unconditionally.

Father, we thank you for food, shelter, and clothing on this day. We ask that you will remember those who have no shelter, food, or clothing. We pray that you will move on the hearts of those who have an abundance, that they remember the homeless, hungry and poor in need.

“If there is a poor man with you, one of your brothers, in any of your towns in your land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart, nor close your hand from your poor brothers; but you shall freely open hand to him, and shall generously lend him sufficient for his need in whatever he lack.

Beware that there is no base thought in your heart, saying, “The seventh year, the year of remission, is near, and your eye is hostile toward your poor brother, and you give him nothing; then he may cry to the Lord against you, and it will be a sin in you. You shall; generously give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.

For the poor will never cease to be in the land; therefore I command you saying, ‘You shall freely open your hand to your brother, to your needy and poor in your land.’

Deuteronomy (15:7-11)

Father on this day, we ask that you teach us how to give with the right heart and right spirit. Father, help us not to be hasty in our decisions on this day, but help us to be still and wait for a word from you. Father, we pray for peace, tranquility and, rest for our souls on this day called Monday. When the cares of life over take us, help us to remember that you are still here, and that you will never leave us or forsake us.

Father, search our hearts today, if there be any unrighteousness, resentment or  malice in our hearts against anyone today,  touch our hearts and set us free in Jesus name. Give us a clean heart and a right spirit. Father, we thank you for the blood of Christ.  Thank you for Salvation that is so desperately needed in the world today.

Father, thank you for your Rod and Staff that comforts us in every situation and circumstance. Father, as we go about our day give us peace, joy and wisdom in everything we do and in everything we say. Father, keep us in the time of trouble when tormoil is all around us.

Lord, we thank you for your goodness and tender mercies that are new every day. Lord, we love you! We praise you, we thank you and give you all the honor and glory on this day! We love you for being God all by yourself! Father, we place no one above you! Father, teach us how to stay in your Presence so that our souls will remain fruitful daily. Father, we ask all these things in your name Amen! Amen!
