Psalm 51

A Contrite Sinner's Prayer for Pardon.

For the choir director. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;
         According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.
    Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity
         And cleanse me from my sin.
    For I know my transgressions,
         And my sin is ever before me.
    Against You, You only, I have sinned
         And done what is evil in Your sight,
         So that You are justified when You speak
         And blameless when You judge.
    Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
         And in sin my mother conceived me.
    Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being,
         And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.
    Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
         Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
    Make me to hear joy and gladness,
         Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.
    Hide Your face from my sins
         And blot out all my iniquities.
    Create in me a clean heart, O God,
         And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
    Do not cast me away from Your presence
         And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
    Restore to me the joy of Your salvation
         And sustain me with a willing spirit.
    Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
         And sinners will be converted to You.
    Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation;
         Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.
    O Lord, open my lips,
         That my mouth may declare Your praise.
    For Yoo not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it;
         You are not pleased with burnt offering.
    The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
         A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
    By Your favor do good to Zion;
         Build the walls of Jerusalem.
    Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices,
         In burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
         Then young bulls will be offered on Your altar.

                                                        A prayer by Prophetess Roberts

Father, bless this day we call Friday.  Help us to move forward and not look backwards. Blot out our transgressions and forgive us our iniquity. Father, we pray for a clean heart and renewed spirit. Father, teach us how to remain righteous in a sinful word.

Father, teach us the way of holiness and show us the way of righteousness. Father, we welcome the Holy Spirit to reign in our lives. We ask for guidance and protection. We pray for wisdom and clarity on this day. Father, help us to be still when you are speaking and obedient to your words.

Father, on this day we pray for traveling mercies over the highways. We pray for victory over our enemies. We pray for peace in our homes and on our jobs. We pray for financial blessings and prosperity. We pray for health and wealth. Father, where we lack ,give us increase. Father, teach us how to be good Stewarts over what we have as you prepare us for more.

Father, we pray for those who are cast down, depressed, and in despair. We pray that you would lift their spirits and give them hope in You. Father, help them to know the joy of the Lord and that in you are living waters.

Father, you told us to cast our cares on you because you care for us. Father, help us to keep your words in our remembrance as we study to show ourselves approved.

Father, you are the only wise God our Savior and we place no other god above you. You are magnificent in all your ways.  You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords!

 In you will we put our trust. In you we have faith, wisdom, and understanding. In You we are safe and protected. We place no one above you Lord because you are God all by yourself! For there is no one who can compare to your greatness!

Today and every day we give you all the praise, glory and honor Amen!Amen!
