Anointing Oil Prayer
Anointing Oil Prayer
Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord's name. And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
James 5:14-16 (Amplified Bible)
There may be times when you may not be able to find a Holy Man of God to bless your anointing oil or pray for you. Therefore, my suggestion is that you learn how to bless your own oil and pray for your own self. I encourage those of you who are reading this, to buy a fresh bottle of oil and I will pray over it with you. If you have oil at this time, lift it up towards the heavens and touch and agree with me according to your individual faith.
It does not take a lot of people to come together for God to work miracles and healings, all it takes is Faith! If we believe that Christ is with us today, we should also believe and have faith in His abilities to heal us at any given time.
Lay handsonyourselves if you cannot find anyone to lay hands on you. Anoint yourself with oil if there is no one else around to anoint you with oil. If there is someone with you, have that person anoint you with oil and lay hand on that area that you desire to be healed, then cry out to God for healing. Christ is there! The bible says that He is near you, even in your mouth. If you would like to be healed speak it, believe it, and receive it by faith!
When they got there, Jesus was told that Simon's mother-in-law was sick in bed with fever. Jesus went to her. He took hold of her hand and helped her up. The fever left her, and she served them a meal. That evening after sunset, all who were sick or had demons in them were brought to Jesus. In fact, the whole town gathered around the door of the house. Jesus healed all kinds of terrible diseases and forced out a lot of demons. But the demons knew who he was, and he did not let them speak. Very early the next morning, Jesus got up and went to a place where he could be alone and pray.
Mark 1:30-35 (Contemporary English Version)
If you have oil at this time, hold up your oil, and pray this prayer with me out loud! Father, in the name of your Son Jesus Christ, we ask that you reach down from heaven and place Your right hand on top of our hand that is holding up the oil. Give us faith to believe that you can do all things and anything at any time because you alone are God. Father, stir up the oil that is in our hands. Bless it and consecrate it with your healing power.
Father, as we anoint ourselves and our love ones with this oil, let it be like fire shut up in our bones. Let our cups run over. Father, let your healing power come into our hands. Give us power in our hands to lay hands on the sick so they can recover.
Father, while we hold up our oil in Jesus name, heal our unbelief, worries, doubts, fears and concerns. Reassure us that we are never alone. Reassure us that you will never leave us or forsake us. Father, let your healing virtue come upon each and everyone who is anointed with this oil. Father, in ourselves we can do nothing but in you, all things are possible. Amen!
“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” (KJV)
“You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”
Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God.”
“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:”
“But you have been anointed by the Holy One, and you all have knowledge. But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.”
1 John 2:20,27
“And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.”
